Are You Ready for Picklefest 2025?

The Garden Drive-In will be hosting the second annual pickle-themed festival…

There are few things in life that get me as excited as a good pickle. Regardless of what’s happening in my life, I have yet to encounter a situation that wasn’t made better by the salty, garlicky, vinegary taste of a quality pickle. So I am absolutely giddy to be writing about The Garden Drive-In Picklefest.

The Garden Drive-In will be hosting Picklefest 2025 on June 7th.

For the second consecutive year, the Garden Drive-In (Hunlock Creek, PA) will be hosting Picklefest. The event is free to the public – even parking is free – and will be held on June 7th from 10am to 4pm. That’s six hours of pickle-centric family fun, people.

I am far from the only person excited by this event. Well over 3,000 people have already expressed interest in Picklefest 2025 by way of the event’s official Facebook event page. It says something that so many people have flagged themselves as being down for this thing even though it’s (as of this writing) still nearly two months away and there have been no specifics yet revealed about participating vendors.

Clearly, I’m not the only pickle fanatic living in Northeast Pennsylvania.

So what should you expect from the Garden Drive-In Picklesfest 2025? Here’s an answer from the Picklefest vendor registration site:

Homemade pickles, pickle flavored food, pickle themed clothing and crafts! If it involves pickles then you’re invited!

This ticket is for vendor registration only. Attendance and parking are free to the public. Vendors MUST HAVE PICKLE RELATED ITEMS to be approved. The Garden Drive-In reserves the right to cancel your registration if you do not follow these rules. You will be contacted after you register to confirm.

As I already mentioned, this is the second annual Garden Drive-In Picklefest. Last year’s event proved itself very popular, drawing dozens of vendors and large crowds. To give some additional context about what pickled delights await us, allow me to quote from a Times-Leader article that reported on last year’s event:

The Garden Drive-In hosted its inaugural Picklefest on Saturday afternoon, bringing together vendors and locals for a celebration of all things related to pickles.

Garden Drive-In Manager Stephen Zelenak came up with the idea for Picklefest by checking out the latest trends on social media. He noticed that similar pickle celebrations were common in other areas of the country.

“There are at least three or four vendors selling pickles. We have a food truck that has chocolate-covered pickles,” said Zelenak. “There’s people selling crocheted and crafted pickles, stuffed animals, toys… so there’s a lot of different items at our show.”

So if you didn’t already have plans for June 7th, you do now.
