Best Cigar Pub (Drums) has announced it will be hosting a special dinner on March 22nd, offering a five-course tasting menu. Each course will be paired with a different wine from Smokey Hollow Winery. Tickets are on sale now at a cost of $80 per person.
Since it opened about six years ago, Best Cigar Pub has established itself as one of the 570’s most elite dining destinations. Its elevated cuisine and atmosphere has made it something of a destination, a place where one can go to enjoy a great meal and, if one so chooses, smoke a premium cigar.
Events such as this Smokey Hollow Wine Dinner are further examples of how Best Cigar Pub continues to stand out.
As mentioned above, this is a five-course dinner, with each course showcasing a menu item prepared by Chef Karl and a wine selected by Smokey Hollow Winery’s Austin Hornberger. Here’s how it looks:

- An amuse-bouche featuring green apple, ricotta, gruyere, and lemon
- Smokey Hollow Seyval Blanc
Course Two
- Pear Apple Salad with chopped bacon, arugula, pickled beets, and pear vinairgrette
- Smokey Hollow Dry Reisling
Course Three
- Smoked Salmon Rangoon with smoked cream cheese and Thai chili sauce
- Smokey Hollow Dry Rose
Course Four
- Braised Lamb and Cajun Trout with pepper risotto and crispy brussel sprouts
- Smokey Hollow Barrel Aged Cabernet Franc
Course Five
- Cherry Cheese Cake with dark chocolate ganache
- Smokey Hollow Merlot
So that’s exciting.
For anyone not familiar, Smokey Hollow Winery is locted in Ringtown, PA (between Bloomsburg and Hazelton). The winery opened about four years ago and has wasted no time in becoming a fan favorite. I’m not just saying that to be nice. Smokey Hollow was voted “Best Winery” in 2023 and 2024 by readers of the Republican Herald newspaper.
