The upscale Wilkes-Barre restaurant offers an Irish-themed dinner and whiskey pairing…
Bank + Vine (Wilkes-Barre) has announced a special “Irish Dinner.” Costing $49 per person, the event is scheduled to be held at its downtown Wilkes-Barre location on Thursday, March 13th. In addition to a menu featuring a variety of Ireland-centric dishes, the restaurant will also be offering whiskey pairings for an additional fee.

Seating for the Irish Dinner starts at 6 pm. Reservations are required and can be made on Bank + Vine’s website or by calling 570-901-4040.
So what type of Emerald Isle-inspired cuisine does Bank + Vine have in store? Here’s the menu:
First Course
- Spring Pea Tarts featuring affila cress and lemon zest
Second Course
- Spinach Artichoke Dip with house-made chips
Third Course
- Cast Iron Shepherd’s Pie featuring ribeye beef and pomme puree
Fourth Course
- Corned Beef Cabbage featuring Guinness, dill, and balsamic gastrique
Fifth Course
- Orange Zest Whiskey Souffle Pie with vanilla gelato
As I already mentioned, an add-on whiskey pairing is available. However, I haven’t seen any details on the specific whiskies involved or how much extra that will cost.
To give some additional context, here’s how Bank + Vine describes the Irish Pairing Dinner on its Facebook page:
An Evening of Irish Flavors: Irish Pairing Dinner
Celebrate the spirit of Ireland with us for a night of authentic Irish flavors paired perfectly with drinks that’ll make you feel like you’re right at the heart of Ireland.
What to expect:
– Delicious Irish-inspired dishes paired with the perfect drinks
– A cozy, festive atmosphere to transport you straight to Ireland
– Special whiskey and beer pairings to elevate each course
Whether you’re a long time fan of Irish cuisine or looking to try something new, this evening will be full of flavor, fun, and good company!
All things considered, the $49 price point for the Irish Dinner seems very reasonable. As anyone familiar with the establishment should readily attest, the food, service, and atmosphere at Bank + Vine are top-notch. A five-course menu at a place like this for less than $50/person is a deal.
As of this writing, reservations for the event are still available on Bank + Vine’s website. If you are interested in attending, I’d recommend booking sooner rather than later, because I’d be surprised if the Irish Dinner doesn’t sell out.
